We all love to pamper ourselves all the time as much as we can, most especially when we are stressed with our work or personal lives. Some of us go to spas, salons and other establishments that offer to pamper us. However that would cause us a lot of bucks so I decided another way to do it is to purchase products that give the same comforting and pampering effect on our senses - that's when I stumbled upon Casa de Lorenzo's Castile Soaps.
At first, I didn't know what Castile Soap meant. All I thought was that it was a brand name for their product however, research proved me wrong. Castile is a type of soap and not a brand. Castile also means that it's made from pure plant oils and is considered a true soap, not a chemical detergent which makes it environment-friendly. Read on for more about CdL's Castile Soaps:

As for the review, I received three (3) 250ml bottles of their best selling Castile Soaps - Moisturizing Castile Soaps in Peppermint, Cleansing Castile Soap in Lavender as well as the Manila Calamansi Variant. First off, their packaging looks really clean, simple and neat - which helps to make it look more legit and regal. Each 250ml bottle costs only PHP350! :)
Since receiving these goodies, I headed on to take note and observe the effects that these soaps have on my skin. As for the scents of these soaps, I am very much satisfied! Among the three, the most soothing would be the Lavender variant. I would often use it in my shower before going to bed and I've noticed that it helps me to sleep soundly. The Manila variant also smells like the real calamansi while Peppermint smells mildly of what it stands for.
Upon usage of the products, I felt like it really helped in getting rid of the day's dirt on my body because you'll feel squeaky clean after stepping out of the shower. It also does not dry my skin which only seems to strengthen my love for the products because I already have very dry skin. Since I love lathering up my soaps, I enjoyed using the Lavender Variant which is more sudsy compared to the rest; Castile soaps are naturally not sudsy mind you. The Peppermint variant leaves a mild menthol/cool feeling after rinsing which is perfect for a hot and humid day in the Philippines. All these soaps have a water-like consistency so it's better to use a loofah or a hand glove not to waste too much of the product when bathing. Overall, I totally recommend these soaps - especially to those who have sensitive skin because these soaps are made of natural ingredients and won't do any harm to your skin instead it cleans and moisturizes it!
