Urban Decay Rock&Rep Pressed Eyeshadow Review

Thursday, October 04, 2012
Hello lovelies! It's been a while since I did a beauty product review and I figured it's high time for me to post one. I would like to help you girls find new products on the shelves and provide honest reviews. Right now, what I have here is a product that was sent to me by an online store called Style Quarter. They usually provide imported beauty products and cosmetics to women all over the Philippines with brands such as Beauty Blender, Ben Nye Makeup, Graftobian, Human Nature, NYX Cosmetics, Love Minerals by Human Nature, Urban Decay, Dermablend by Vichy Laboratories, Inglot Cosmetics, Clarisonic Sonic Skin Cleansing System and many others. If you're looking for a shop to feed your makeup fix, then add this store to your list! Plus they ship internationally too~~

Let me introduce to you Urban Decay's Rock&Republic Pressed Eye Shadow in Tribal! Here's a photo of the product and a little information from the site. The product is in a cake form and costs 28USD which is roughly PHP1,120.00 Okay, so some of you might raise your eyebrows with its price but let me first do the review then you can judge :)

Packaging/Shipping:
>>The eye shadow’s punk-looking packaging makes you wanna grab it from the shelves. It looks sleek and elegant and houses the metallic tin quite perfectly. Since the product is contained inside the tin container, I am assured that the product will not get damaged and will prolong shelf life. I really like the design of the metallic tin too - makes you think of handling it carefully! Shipping was also very fast and all items from the shop are enclosed in bubble wraps – stores that invest in this simple thing are simply the best.

Quality/Pay off:
>>This eye shadow I tell you is totally pigmented. Just a small swipe of it would give you a very lovely & solid color so you won’t need lots of application to build it up. The color is also long wearing which means you won’t have to worry about its creasing. The shadow is matte by the way and I use it to define my crease line and also to contour the nose line.  Since I’m not the oily-skinned type of person, fall-offs are very very minimal to almost none.

Now back to the price, I think the value of the product is quite reasonable it is of high-quality and not readily available in malls. Some of you might agree that it can be a makeup collector's item however I would prefer a palette instead of individual containers for each color. It would be lovely if they release a palette with more colors available so I won’t have to bring all separate cases with me when I go to shoots or events .

This is definitely an investment! It’s just sad that I have this one color only. I bet all the other colors will look vibrant and rich. So there you go, loves :> Will post more reviews soon!~ Like Style Quarter on Facebook  for updates! <3

  1. Kai, How many grams is the product? I am curious about the other colors and you are right they should come up with at least duos or quad so that you can have a flexible e/s.

I like the tin container I hope it will not have rust over time :p

  2. Great post! I saw this over YouTube months ago. I forgot the beauty guru who featured it. From the looks of it, it's really pigmented. I think this is great for creating a brown smokey eyes :)
